Purpose

MRCC indicator light (green)

•  The MRCC indicator light (green) notifies the driver as to whether the MRCC system is operating and in constant speed control mode or headway control mode.

MRCC warning light (amber)

•  The MRCC warning light (amber) warns the driver that a malfunction is occurring in the MRCC system.

Function

MRCC indicator light (green)

•  The instrument cluster turns the MRCC indicator light (green) on based on the system conditions display request signal sent via CAN communication from the radar unit.

MRCC warning light (amber)

•  The instrument cluster turns the MRCC warning light (amber) on based on the malfunction indication request signal sent via CAN communication from the radar unit.

Construction

•  The MRCC indicator light (green) and MRCC warning light (amber) are equipped in the instrument cluster.

Operation

MRCC indicator light (green)

1.  The instrument cluster receives (1) the system conditions display request signal from the radar unit via the CAN signal.

2.  The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system conditions display request signal.

3.  When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the MRCC indicator light (green) is established, and the MRCC indicator light (green) turns on (3).

MRCC warning light (amber)

1.  The instrument cluster receives (1) the system malfunction indication request signal from the radar unit via the CAN signal.

2.  The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system malfunction indication request signal.

3.  When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the MRCC warning light (amber) is established, and the MRCC warning light (amber) turns on (3).
