•  Installed to the engine compartment.
•  There is an atmospheric air port on top of the charcoal canister. When the purge solenoid valve is actuated, air is drawn through this hole and thoroughly contacts the activated charcoal, thereby freeing the air of absorbed evaporative gas.
•  A U-flow type has been adopted with an evaporative gas flow as shown in the figure. The surface area of the activated charcoal layer has been enlarged to increase the amount of absorbed evaporative gas.
