Wheels and Tires Removal/Installation

1.  When installing the wheels and tires, tighten the wheel nuts in a criss-cross pattern to the following tightening torque.

•  88—118 N·m {9.0—12 kgf·m, 65—87 ft·lbf}

Suspension Links Removal/Installation

Note
•  To prevent the bushings from being twisted or pinched, perform the procedures with no passengers or luggage aboard the vehicle.

1.  For the joint sections with rubber bushings, raise the vehicle using a lift and temporarily tighten the installation nuts and bolts, then tighten them to the specified torque with the vehicle placed on the ground.

Brake Lines Disconnection/Connection

Caution
•  Brake fluid will damage painted surfaces. If brake fluid does get on a painted surface, wipe it off immediately.

1.  Tighten the brake pipe flare nut using the commercially available flare nut wrench. Be sure to modify the brake pipe flare nut tightening torque to allow for use of a commercially available flare nut wrench.

2.  If any brake line has been disconnected anytime during the procedure, add brake fluid, bleed the brakes, and inspect for leakage after the procedure has been completed.

EPS Related Parts

1.  Make sure that there are no DTCs in the EPS memory after working on EPS related parts. If there are any codes in the memory, clear them.

EPS System Neutral Setting

•  After working on the steering system, always set the EPS system to the neutral position to prevent system malfunction.

1.  After performing the following, set the EPS system to the neutral position. (See EPS SYSTEM NEUTRAL POSITION SETTING.)

•  Steering gear and linkage replacement
•  EPS control module replacement
•  Disconnecting the steering shaft joint (gear side)

Auto Leveling System Initialization

―  Removing the auto leveling sensor
―  Disconnecting the auto leveling sensor link
―  Removing the suspension parts related the vehicle height
