Position Memory Operation

Seat position detection function

•  Position memory control module detects the motor position (seat position) according to the pulse signal from the position sensors installed to each motor.

Position memory function

•  Three seat positions can be programmed in the position memory control module corresponding to the memory switch.
•  Seat position can be programmed corresponding to each transmitter.
―  Transmitter (vehicles with advanced keyless entry and push button start system) : 6
―  Transmitter (vehicles with keyless entry system) : 3
•  Programming of the seat position is possible according to the following procedures.
Seat position switch
1.  Operate the power seat switch to the desired position.
2.  Press the set switch while pressing memory switches 1, 2, or 3.
3.  Buzzer sounds of the instrument cluster and the seat position is programmed.
Transmitter
1.  Operate the power seat switch to the desired position.
2.  Press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter while pressing the set switch.
3.  Buzzer sounds of the instrument cluster and the seat position is programmed.
Note
•  Memory operation is possible when all of the following three conditions are met.
―  Memory call up operation has not been performed.
―  Power seat switches operation has not been performed.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
•  Memory is reprogrammed when the seat position is added to the memory switch which has already been programmed.
•   If the negative battery cable is disconnected or ROOM fuse removal and 5 s or more have elapsed, all of the seat position memory will be erased.

Memory call up function (memory switch)

•  Call up operation is performed which slides the seat to the programmed seat position by the memory switch operation.
Auto call up
•  If the following conditions are met, the seat position is automatically called up by the memory switch operation.
―  Door is open (door switch off).
―  Seat position has been programmed.
―  Memory switch and set switch are off.
―  Ignition switch to the LOCK position.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
Note
•  Auto call up continues when the door is closed (door switch on) or the ignition switch is turned to the ON position during the auto call up.
•  Auto call up is cancelled when any of the following conditions are met during the auto call up.
―  Operation using the power seat switch has been operated.
―  Memory switch or set switch has been operated.
―  LOCK/UNLOCK operation has been performed using the transmitter with the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
Position memory switch call up
•  When the following conditions are met, the call up operation is performed only while the position memory switch is being operated.
―  Door is closed (door switch on) or the ignition switch is to the ON position.
―  Seat position has been programmed.
―  Memory switch and set switch are off.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
Note
•  Call up is cancelled when any of the following conditions are met during the position memory switch call up.
―  Position memory switch operation has stopped.
―  Operation using the power seat switch has been performed.
―  LOCK/UNLOCK operation has been performed using the transmitter with the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).

Memory call up function (transmitter)

•  When the door is opened within approx. 30 s after it is unlocked using the transmitter, the auto call up operation slides the seat to the programmed position.
•  Seat position is automatically called up when the following conditions are met.
―  Door is open (door switch off).
―  Seat position has been programmed.
―  Ignition switch to the LOCK position.
―  Memory switch and set switch are off.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
Note
•  Auto call up continues when the door is closed (door switch on) or the ignition switch is turned to the ON position during the auto call up.
•   Auto call up is cancelled if any of the following conditions are met during the auto call up.
―  Operation using the power seat switch has been performed.
―  Memory switch or the set switch has been operated.
―  LOCK/UNLOCK operation using the transmitter has been performed with the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
―  When the vehicle is stopped (vehicle speed 2 km/h [1.24 mph] or less).
