Lock/unlock
• When the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons are operated at a distance (within approx. 2.5) from the vehicle, all the doors and the trunk lid/liftgate lock/unlock.
• An auto-lock function has been adopted which automatically locks the doors and the trunk lid/liftgate if any one of the following operations is not performed within 30 s after the UNLOCK button on the transsmitter is pressed.

― A door or the trunk lid/liftgate is opened.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's front door key cylinder.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's door lock knob.
― Ignition key is inserted into the steering lock.
• To prevent improper operation while the vehicle is moving, the doors cannot be locked/unlocked by operating the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter while the key is inserted in the steering lock.
• An answer-back function has been adopted which flashes the hazard warning lights when the doors are locked/unlocked using the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter.

• Vehicles with the theft-deterrent system are connected to the theft-deterrent set/cancel.
Trunk lid/Liftgate opener function
• Doors are unlocked.
1. When the trunk lid/liftgate opener switch is pressed, a request switch signal is input to the BCM.
2. The BCM unlocks the trunk lid lock actuator/liftgate lock actuator/liftgate lock motor (releases the latch) for approx. 1.5 s when the ignition is switched off or all the following conditions are met.

• Parking brake is applied (parking brake switch is on)
• Vehicle speed is 3 km/h or less

• The trunk lid lock actuator/liftgate lock actuator/liftgate lock motor operates to unlock approx. 1—2 s after the trunk lid/liftgate opener switch is pressed.
