CF-Net (Cross Functional-Network)

Outline

1.  The CF-Net (Cross Functional-Network) is a function which performs adjustments and settings using the steering switches to adjust/set the car-navigation unit, climate control unit, and the drive information system.

3.  The items which can be operated by CF-Net (Cross Functional-Network) are as follows:

Car-navigation unit
Audio volume can be adjusted.
Audio power supply ON/OFF can be set.
Audio mode can be selected.
(FM1→FM2→AM→→CD changer→AUX→OFF)
Each type of setting for each mode can be made.
•  Radio
―  Pre-set channel selection, radio frequency selection.
•  CD
―  Track selection, disc selection
•  DVD
―  Chapter selection.
Each type of setting for each mode can be made.
•  DEST
―  Address search, target destination search.
•  SCAEL
―  Screen map scale switching.
•  GUIDANCE
―  Diversion distance, priority road selection and turn list display.
•  OPTIONS
―  Memory point recording, search area change, setting menu display
Climate control unit
Climate control temperature can be set.
Climate control air vent switching can be done.
Climate control airflow volume can be adjusted.
Drive information system
(instrument cluster)
Drive information is displayed.
(Time→Average speed→remaining travel distance→Momentary fuel mileage→Speed alarm set speed)
The speed at which the speed alarm activates the buzzer can be set.

Construction/operation

1.  An operation signal is input to the car-navigation unit when the steering switches are operated. The car-navigation unit initiates each control based on the input signal.

―  Car-navigation unit operation signal
•  When the car-navigation unit detects an car-navigation unit operation signal, it controls each function based on the operation signal. The car-navigation unit outputs display of each setting content in the information display via the CAN communication.

―  Climate control unit operation signal
•  If the car-navigation unit detects a climate control unit operation signal, it outputs an operation signal to the climate control unit via CAN communication. The climate control unit controls each function based on the operation signal from the car-navigation unit. The climate control unit outputs a display signal for each setting content in the information display via CAN communication.

―  Drive information system operation signal
•  If the car-navigation unit detects a drive information system operation signal, it outputs an operation signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication. The instrument cluster controls each function based on the operation signals from the car-navigation unit. The instrument cluster outputs display of each setting content in the information display via CAN communication.

Welcome mode

Outline

1.  The welcome mode is linked to the instrument cluster, information display, car-navigation unit, climate control unit to provide a presentation while in the vehicle using illumination and sound effects. Sound effects can be turned on or off by the user.

Operation

Welcome illumination on control
•  If all the following conditions are met, the welcome mode is initiated.
―  Switch the ignition to off
―  TNS off
―  When the driver’s door is open with above two conditions met
•  If the car-navigation unit receives a welcome mode operation signal from the instrument cluster after the conditions have been met, a 500 ms timer is activated, and the welcome mode is on standby.
•  If the car-navigation unit receives a welcome mode initiation signal from the instrument cluster while the welcome mode is on standby, the panel switch illumination is illuminated after 800 ms have elapsed.
Welcome illumination off control
•   If any one of the following conditions are met, the welcome mode stops.
―  A welcome mode stop signal is received from the instrument cluster
―  Switch the ignition to ON
―  TNS ON
―  Thirty seconds have elapsed since a welcome mode initiation signal was received.
Welcome sound effects activation control
•  Welcome sound effects activation control
―  ACC signal input
―  The welcome mode sound effects setting is ON
•   The car-navigation unit activates the welcome sound effects after 1500 ms have elapsed or 2300 ms have elapsed (with Bose®) after the conditions are met.
Welcome sound effects stop control
•   If any of the following conditions are met, the welcome sound effects are stopped.
―   The welcome mode sound effects activation ends.
―  Switch the ignition to off
•   If the ignition is switched off during activation of the welcome sound effects, the welcome sound effects are stopped.
