REAR DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the seat belt rail. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  To remove the checker, remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear door lower trim (See REAR DOOR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  To remove the rear door hinge, remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Caution

•  If a different type of metal such as iron contacts the aluminum panel (aluminum), it could corrode the aluminum. Use exclusive surface finished bolts for the aluminum panel installation.

6.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

2	Bolt A
3	Bolt B
4	Rear door
5	Bolt C
6	Checker
7	Nut
8	Rear door hinge

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

8.  Adjust the rear door. (See DOOR ADJUSTMENT.)
