ONE-WAY CLUTCH 2 AND CARRIER HUB COMPONENT INSPECTION

One-way Clutch 2 Inspection

1. Install the inner race to one-way clutch 2, and verify that one-way clutch 2 turns smoothly and only clockwise.

• If one-way clutch 2 turns or locks in both directions, replace one-way clutch 2.

• If one-way clutch 2 turns only counterclockwise, it might have been installed backwards.

2. Inspect the one-way clutch 2 for damage or malfunctioning.

• Replace the one-way clutch 2 if it is damaged or malfunctioning.

Carrier Hub Component Inspection

1. Measure the clearance between pinion washers and planetary carrier.

• If not within the specification, replace the carrier hub component.
