PROPELLER SHAFT INDEXING

Note

•  If a propeller shaft is installed and propeller shaft vibration is encountered after installation, index the propeller shaft.

•  If indexing the propeller shaft does not eliminate the vibration, balance the propeller shaft.

1.  Lift up the vehicle.

2.  Disconnect the front propeller shaft and rotate the flange 60°.

3.  Connect the front propeller shaft.

4.  Disconnect the rear propeller shaft universal joint and rotate 180°.

5.  Connect the rear propeller shaft.

6.  Lower the vehicle and test drive.

7.  Repeat the procedure if necessary.
