ATF overheating

DETECTION CONDITION
•  P1711: Irregular ATF temperature sensor signal
•  P1783: ATF temperature signal is 132° C {270 °F} or more
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  ATF level low
•  Deteriorated ATF
•  TFT sensor malfunction.
•  PCM malfunction.

1
VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Information availability.
•  Is any related Service Information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY DTCS
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then to the ON position.
•  Verify the DTCs in the PCM memory.
•  Are except DTC P1711 and P1783 output?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING, “NO.32 TRANSAXLE OVERHEATING”, then go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1711 OR P1783 COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all the disconnected connectors.
•  Clear the DTC from the memory using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the “After Repair Procedure”.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
5
VERIFY DTCS
•  Are except DTC P1711 and P1783 output?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
