Control valve body
•  Do any of the following malfunctions exist?
―  Bolts are not tightened to the specification
―  Gaskets are damaged, or leaking
―  Pressure tap plate/Gasket are leaking or damaged
―  Separator plates are damaged
―  Hydraulic passages are damaged
―  Main regulator valve is stuck, damaged, or misassembled
―  Forward accumulator is leaking

Service if necessary

Go to the next step
3
Oil pump
•  Do any of the following malfunctions exist?
―  Bolts are not tightened to the specification
―  Gaskets are damaged
―  Porosity/cross leaks and/or the ball plug is missing, leaking, or the hole is plugged
―  Oil pump support seal rings, #3 and #4 are damaged

Forward clutch and coasting clutch component
•  Do any of the following malfunctions exist?
―  Seals or pistons damaged
―  Return spring is damaged
―  Ball check valve is damaged
―  Friction elements are severely damaged or worn
―  Forward/coasting/direct (F/C/D) clutch cylinders are damaged, leaking, misassembled, or stuck
―  Welding between cylinder and hub is broken, or splines are damaged

The problem is resolved

•  Verify the test results.
―  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
―  If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
•  If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
