•  Are there any malfunctions with the following?
―  Torque converter
―  ATF level (low) pump cavitation
―  Oil pump
―  Engine drive accessories
―  Cooler lines causing interference
―  Drive plate
Yes
Service if necessary
No
Go to the next step
2
For noises/vibrations that change with vehicle speed
•  Are there any malfunctions with the following?
―  Engine mount
―  Tires
―  Drive shaft or joint shaft
―  Differential (final drive/chain)
―  Suspension
―  Planetary gear sets
―  Chain grounding to chain pan
―  Forward one‐way clutch
―  Torque converter
Yes
Service if necessary
No
Go to the next step

Other noise/vibrations
•  Are there any malfunctions with the following?
―  Shift cable vibration grounding
―  Cooler lines causing interference
Yes
Service if necessary
No
The problem is resolved

•  Verify the test results.
―  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
―  If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
•  If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
