1.  Verify that the selector can be operated as shown in the figure.

2.  Verify that the selector lever can be operated smoothly and firmly when shifted to each range/position.

3.  Shift the selector lever and verify that the illumination of the selector indicator lights corresponds to the selected range/position.

•  If there is any malfunction, adjust the selector cable and TR switch.

4.  Start the engine and verify that the vehicle moves forward in D, 2, and 1 ranges and reverses in R position.
