SHIFT-LOCK RELEASE SYSTEM INSPECTION

1.  Verify that the engine is stopped.

2.  Verify that the shift-lock is applied when the selector lever is in P position.

3.  Verify that the selector lever can be shifted out of P position when the shift-lock release button is operated.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the selector lever. (See SELECTOR LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
