Removal/Installation

1.  Position the steering gear boot cover out of the way.

2.  Remove the steering shaft from the universal joint.

Note

•  The nut cannot be reused. Install a new nut.

(1)  Remove and discard the nut.

(2)  Remove the steering shaft from the universal joint.

3.  Remove the steering gear boot.

(1)  Remove the nuts.

(2)  Remove the steering gear boot.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
