DTC S1.4	Ambient temperature sensor
POSSIBLE CAUSE	•  Ambient temperature sensor malfunction •  Climate control unit malfunction •  Open or short circuit between ambient temperature sensor and climate control unit

Diagnostic Procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	•  Disconnect the climate control unit connector. •  Is resistance between terminals AA and AD of climate control unit connector as indicated below? ―  1.05 kilohms—4 kilohms	Yes	Replace climate control unit. (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to the next step.
2	•  Disconnect the ambient temperature sensor connector. •  Is resistance between terminals A and B of ambient temperature sensor connector as indicated below? ―  1.05 kilohms—4 kilohms	Yes	Repair wiring harness.
		No	Replace ambient temperature sensor. (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
