1. Operate the rear window defroster and verify the malfunction indicated by the customer.
2. Referring to the following chart, perform visual inspection for obvious mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

3. If any obvious mechanical and electrical malfunction is detected, repair as necessary.
4. If the cause of malfunction is not detected by visual inspection, connect the M-MDS, and perform DTC inspection.
5. If any DTC related to the malfunction is read, refer to “DTC TABLE [REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER]” and continue malfunction diagnosis.
6. If any DTC related to the malfunction is not read, refer to “SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART [REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER ]” and continue malfunction diagnosis.
