• Coil antenna malfunction

• Coil malfunction

• Malfunction in the coil antenna connector connection

• PCM malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

STEP

INSPECTION

INSPECT CONNECTOR CONNECTION

•  Are the coil antenna connector and the PCM connector securely connected?

Yes

Replace the coil antenna, then go to the next step.

(See COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

No

Connect the connector securely.

INSPECT THE PCM

•  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

•  Is the DTC displayed again?

―  SECURITY LIGHT: 12

―  M-MDS: B2103

Yes

Replace the PCM and perform the resetting procedure for the immobilizer system when replacing the PCM.

No

DTC inspection completed.

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	INSPECT CONNECTOR CONNECTION • Are the coil antenna connector and the PCM connector securely connected?	Yes	Replace the coil antenna, then go to the next step. (See COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
1		No	Connect the connector securely.
2	INSPECT THE PCM • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. • Is the DTC displayed again? ― SECURITY LIGHT: 12 ― M-MDS: B2103	Yes	Replace the PCM and perform the resetting procedure for the immobilizer system when replacing the PCM. (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (PATS) KEY ADDITION/CLEARING[L3].)
2		No	DTC inspection completed.
