INSPECT DTC FOR GEM
Perform the DTC inspection.
Is the DTC displayed?
Yes
If the DTC B1302 or B1304 is displayed, go to Step 2.
No
Go to Step 4.

INSPECT ACC DELAY RELAY CIRCUIT SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Remove the ACC delay relay.
Disconnect the GEM connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at the CJB J-02 terminal A.
Is there voltage?
Yes
Repair the related wiring harness.
Clear the DTCs.
Repeat GEM DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the GEM connector.
Measure the resistance between CJB J-02 terminal A and CJB J-03 terminal A.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to Step 8.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.
Clear the DTCs.
Repeat GEM DTC inspection.

INSPECT ACC DELAY RELAY
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Remove the ACC delay relay.
Inspect the ACC delay relay. (See RELAY INSPECTION.)
Is the relay normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the ACC delay relay.

INSPECT ACC DELAY RELAY VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at the CJB J-03 terminal A.
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Connect the ACC delay relay.
Disconnect the power window main switch connector.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Measure the voltage at power window main switch terminal J.
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH GROUND
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Measure the resistance between power window main switch terminal K and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Replace the power window main switch. (See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT GEM OPERATION
Disconnect all GEM connectors.
Inspect for the following items:
• Corrosion
• Terminal separation
Connect all the connectors and verify that their positions are correct.
Operate the system and inspect for any malfunction.
Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the GEM.
Clear the DTCs.
Repeat GEM DTC inspection.
No
The malfunction may result from loose connectors or corrosion.
Clear the DTCs.
Repeat DTC inspection.
