Replace the instrument cluster.
4
INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PCM
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the instrument cluster connector. (16-pin)
•  Inspect the wiring harness between instrument cluster connector terminal 1F and PCM connector terminal 13 for the following items.
―  Short to ground
―  Short to B+
―  Open circuit
•  Is the wiring harness normal?
Yes
Replace the PCM and perform the resetting procedure for the immobilizer system when replacing the PCM.
No
After repairing the wiring harness, go to the next step.
5
VERIFY THAT THE MALFUNCTION DOES NOT RECUR
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Connect the instrument cluster connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
•  Does the security light illuminate?
