ACTION

1
INSPECT TNS RELAY OPERATION
Turn the light switch to the TNS position.
Do the rear lights turn on?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 3.
2
INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
Disconnect the CJB connector.
Measure the voltage at CJB J-03 terminal J and CJB J-01 terminal D.
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes
Repair the related wiring harness.

INSPECT CJB FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Remove the TNS relay.
Disconnect the CJB connector.
Measure the resistance between TNS relay terminal C and CJB J-05 terminal D.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the CJB.
5
INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Disconnect the GEM connector.
Measure the resistance between CJB J-05 terminal D and GEM terminal 1N.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness.
6
INSPECT RELATED WIRING HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Disconnect the light switch connector.
Measure the resistance between GEM terminal 1G and light switch terminal N.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to the next step.
