FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

Warning

•  Handling the front seats improperly can accidentally deploy the side air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the front seats. (See SERVICE WARNINGS.)(See SERVICE CAUTIONS.)

Note

•  The driver’s seat is shown, the passenger’s seat is similar.

•  The power’s seat is shown, the manual seat is similar.

1.  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.

3.  Remove the side air bag. (See SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

•  Some component connectors may not exist due to vehicle options.

17	Slide adjuster

5.  Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
