FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Remove the front outer handle. (See (0914) FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL INSTALLATION)

Note

•  Verify that the window glass is fully rolled up.

2.  Remove the outer handle screw.

3.  Remove and discard the door latch and lock actuator screws.

4.  Disconnect the door latch and lock actuator connector.

(1)  Detach the clip.

(2)  Disconnect the connector.

5.  Disconnect the inner handle cable.

(1)  Disengage the cable conduit.

(2)  Disconnect the cable.

6.  Remove the door latch and lock actuator, and outer handle bracket as a single unit.

7.  Remove the outer handle rod from the door latch and lock actuator.

(1)  Open the clip.

(2)  Disconnect the rod.

8.  Remove the anti-theft guard.

(1)  Remove the screw.

(2)  Disengage the hook.

(3)  Cut the strap.

9.  Disconnect the door key cylinder rod. (Driver’s side)

10.  Disconnect the door latch and lock actuator, and the outer handle bracket.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
