BONNET LATCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Removal

1.  Remove the bonnet latch nut.

2.  Remove the bonnet latch bolts.

Note

•  Mark the bonnet latch position before removing the bolts.

3.  Remove the bonnet latch.

(1)  Disengage the cable conduit.

(2)  Disconnect the cable.

(3)  Remove the bonnet latch.

Installation

1.  Connect the bonnet latch release cable and conduit.

(1)  Connect the cable.

(2)  Engage the cable conduit.

2.  Align the bonnet latch with the alignment marks and install the bolts.

3.  Install the bonnet latch nut.

4.  Verify the bonnet alignment.

5.  Adjust the bonnet latch.

(1)  Loosen the bolts.

(2)  Loosen the nut.

(3)  Align the bonnet latch with the bonnet latch striker.

6.  Tighten the bonnet latch bolts and nut.

7.  Verify the bonnet latch striker is fully engaged with the bonnet latch.

(1)  Repeat previous steps as necessary.
