FRONT PILLAR REMOVAL[PANEL REPLACEMENT]

1.  Rough cut area (A), drill the 30 RH and 31 LH weld locations indicated by (B), then remove the lower part of the front pillar (outer).

Caution

•  Avoid cutting with a blowtorch or similar tools as the insulator (shaded area) is flammable.

2.  When the front pillar is being removed, the side sill reinforcement may interfere and make removal difficult. Therefore, rough cut and drill locations indicated by (C), then remove the side sill reinforcement.

3.  Drill the 36 weld locations indicated by (D), and remove the front pillar.

Note

•  Drilling of the 31 locations indicated by (E) is not necessary when removing the front pillar and the front pillar (inner) at the same time.

•  If the side sill reinforcement is not damaged, do not dispose of it, as it can be reinstalled. If it is damaged considerably, replace it with a new one.
