Construction
• A direct ignition coil directly attached to each spark plug has been adopted.
• With the adoption of the direct ignition coil, the high tension lead has been eliminated for simplification of the ignition related construction. Additionally, ignition performance has been improved by the prevention of voltage drop.
• The direct ignition coil consist of the ignition coil, ignition coil connector, and a boot which has the same function as the previous high tension lead boot.
Operation
• With the adoption of the direct ignition coil, independent ignition control is performed on each cylinder.
