FULLY-CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION LEARNING FUNCTION OPERATION [L3 R.H.D.]
BUE014000000N12
Fully-closed throttle learning value (fully-closed throttle voltage) update
• If the calculated average value for the fully-closed throttle falls below the current fully-closed throttle learning value, the PCM updates the calculated average value as a new value.
• The average fully-closed throttle value is calculated by averaging several sample values that are detected when all of the following conditions re met (the throttle valve is considered to be fully-closed).
-
- No load with vehicle stopped (P or N range)
-
- If throttle valve opening angle has not changed
-
- Except during in test mode
-
- Engine speed less than 3,000 rpm
Inhibition condition of fully-closed throttle learning
• If any of the following conditions are met, the PCM determines that there is a fully-closed throttle learning difficulty and substitutes a set value (fixed value) for the fully-closed throttle learning value.
-
- During test mode (when connecting DLC terminal TEN to the body ground)
-
- Throttle position sensor malfunction (DTCs P0122, P0123 detected)
-
- Battery terminals reconnected
-
- If fully-closed throttle learning value exceeds the set upper limit.
-
- If fully-closed learning value decreases below set lower limit.
