P Position Switch

Outline

• The P position switch detects whether or not the selector lever is in P position. When detected, sends a P position signal to the instrument cluster and, when detected, sends a "Not P position" signal to the key interlock solenoid.

Operation

• The P position switch is an on/off type switch whose P position side turns on when the selector lever is in the P position and the "Not P position" side turns on when the selector lever is any position besides the P position.

"Not P position" is only equipped on vehicles with the key interlock system.
