R.H.D.

• The R.H.D. vehicles are equipped with an manual electronic climate control system. The airflow mode door, air mix door and air intake doors are all controlled using electric actuators through an electronic climate control unit.

Air mix actuator operation

• The air mix actuator is a dual function actuator used to control and maintain the desired in-vehicle temperature. It consists of an electric motor used to adjust the position of the door and a monitoring circuit used to provide feedback to the climate control unit. The climate control unit sends a control voltage to the actuator to open or close the air mix door, providing the amount of heat or cooling required to maintain the desired interior temperature. The monitoring circuit receives a reference voltage from the climate control unit and sends a varying voltage back to the climate control unit depending on the motor position.

Airflow mode actuator operation

• The airflow mode actuator utilizes an electric motor to position the airflow mode door to the desired mode setting. It incorporates a monitoring circuit used to provide feedback to the climate control unit. Once the customer selects a desired setting, the climate control unit then sends a voltage to the actuator motor to change the airflow mode door. The monitoring circuit receives a reference voltage from the climate control unit and sends a varying voltage back to the climate control unit depending on the motor position.
