Warning
• Perform engine oil replacement when the engine is cold, otherwise it can cause severe burns or serious injury.

1. Position the vehicle on level ground.

2. Remove the oil filler cap.

3. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the oil.

4. Inspect the rubber seal of the oil pan drain plug and make sure there are no cracks, deterioration, or damage.

• If necessary, replace the oil pan drain plug.

5. Clean the flange surface (seal rubber) on the oil pan drain plug, then install the oil pan drain plug.

Tightening torque
26 N·m {2.7 kgf·m, 19 ft·lbf}
Note
• The amount of residual oil in the engine can vary according to the replacement method, oil temperature, etc. Verify the oil level after engine oil replacement.

6. Refill the engine with the type and amount of engine oil specified in the table.

* : Engine oil amount differs according to the O-ring specification of the dipstick. Always verify the O-ring of the dipstick and decide the amount of oil.

7. Install the oil filler cap.

8. Start the engine.

9. Verify that there is no oil leakage.

• If there is oil leakage, inspect for the cause and repair or replace the applicable part.
