Removal

1. Remove the oil strainer. (See OIL STRAINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

2. Remove the nuts and oil pan buffle plate.

Installation

1. Position the oil pan buffle plate.

2. Tighten the nut to 5 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}, then tighten further to 45× using the SST.

3. Install the oil strainer. (See OIL STRAINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)]).
