OIL PUMP SCREEN AND PICKUP TUBE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [YF (2.0L Zetec)]

1. Remove the oil pan. (See OIL PAN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [YF (2.0L Zetec)].)

2. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.

• Remove and discard the gasket.

Caution

• The oil pump screen cover and tube sealing surfaces are soft metals. Do not use abrasive grinding discs to remove gasket material; only use manual scrapers. Do not scratch or gouge sealing surfaces.

3. Carefully clean both sealing surfaces.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

• Install a new gasket.
