THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [YF (2.0L Zetec)]

1. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [YF (2.0L Zetec)].)

2. Remove the three bolts and separate the water outlet adapter from the thermostat housing.

Note

• The thermostat is indexed and must be installed correctly.

3. Remove the thermostat and the O-ring seal.

Note

• Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
