1. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
2. Remove the engine front cover.
3. Remove the air intake duct.
4. Remove the five hoses from the thermostat housing, then remove the thermostat housing.
5. Remove the ECT sensor from the bypass tube.
6. Remove the stud, bolt, and water bypass tube.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
