VARIABLE TUMBLE SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR INSPECTION [L3 R.H.D.]

1. Remove the air hose between the air cleaner and throttle body.

2. Verify that the vacuum hose is completely connected to the VTCS shutter valve actuator.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose connecting variable tumble shutter valve actuator and variable tumble solenoid valve on the solenoid valve side, then install the vacuum pump to the vacuum hose.

4. While applying vacuum to the variable tumble shutter valve actuator gradually, verify that the rod is as indicated in the table.

• If it can be confirmed, inspect the vacuum hose for disconnection and damage.
• If it cannot be confirmed, replace the intake manifold.
