SILENCER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)]

1. Lift up the vehicle.

2. Remove the U-shaped bolt.

3. Remove the silencer.

• Dispose of the gasket.

• Dispose of the nuts.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

• Install a new gasket.

• Install new nuts.

Nut tightening torque

50 N·m {5.1 kgf·m, 37 ft·lbf}

U-shaped bolt tightening torque

50 N·m {5.1 kgf·m, 37 ft·lbf}
