EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)]

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

2. Disconnect the EGR pipe.

3. Remove the EGR valve.

Caution

• Clean all sealing surfaces and install a new EGR valve gasket.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

EGR valve installation bolt tightening torque

25 N·m {2.5 kgf·m, 18 ft·lbf}

EGR pipe tightening torque

40 N·m {4.1 kgf·m, 30 ft·lbf}
