CATALYTIC CONVERTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)]

1. Lift up the vehicle.

2. Remove and discard the nuts.

3. Remove and discard the gasket.

4. Remove the U-bolt and disconnect the catalytic converter from the hanger, then remove the catalytic converter.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

• Install a new gasket.

• Install new nuts.

U-bolt tightening torque

50 N·m {5.1 kgf·m, 37 ft·lbf}

Nut tightening torque

50 N·m {5.1 kgf·m, 37 ft·lbf}
