POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE INSPECTION [YF (2.0L Zetec)]

1. Remove the PCV valve.

2. Blow air into the PCV valve by mouth and verify that the airflow is as indicated in the following table.

• If the airflow is not as indicated in the following table, replace the PCV valve.

From port B to port C
Airflow detected
From port B or C to port A
No airflow

• If there is airflow, replace the PCV valve.

3. Verify that there is airflow when vacuum is applied to port A.

• If there is no airflow, replace the PCV valve.
