Airflow Inspection

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR solenoid valve (intake manifold side and EGR valve side).

2. Plug the EGR solenoid valve port (EGR valve side).

3. Install the vacuum pump to the EGR solenoid valve port (intake manifold side).

4. Verify that no vacuum is applied when applying vacuum to the EGR solenoid valve using the vacuum pump.

• If vacuum remains, or it takes time to intake air, replace the EGR solenoid valve.

Resistance Inspection

1. Disconnect the EGR solenoid valve connector.

2. Measure the resistance between the EGR solenoid valve terminals.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the EGR solenoid valve.
