HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) INSPECTION [L3 R.H.D.]

id0140a7802300

Note
• Before performing the following inspection, make sure to follow the procedure as indicated in the troubleshooting flowchart. (See Troubleshooting Procedure.)

HO2S Voltage Inspection

1. Warm up the engine.

2. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.

3. Display the following PID.

• RPM, O2S11

4. Drive the vehicle and measure the HO2S output voltage during deceleration at fully closed throttle from acceleration at a fully-opened throttle and an engine speed of 3,000 rpm or more.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the HO2S.
Standard
• 0.3 V or less at deceleration from fully closed throttle
• 0.6 V or more at least once during the evaluation

HO2S Heater Resistance Inspection

1. Disconnect the HO2S connector.

2. Using a circuit tester, measure the resistance between HO2S terminals C and D.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the HO2S.
HO2S heater resistance
4-20 ohms
