KNOCK SENSOR (KS) INSPECTION [L3 R.H.D.]

• Before performing the following inspection, make sure to follow the procedure as indicated in the troubleshooting flowchart. (See Troubleshooting Procedure.)

1. Disconnect the knock sensor connector.

2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between knock sensor A-B terminals.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the knock sensor.

• If the monitor item condition/specification (reference) is not within the specification, even though the knock sensor resistance is within the specification, perform the Circuit Open/Short Inspection.
