FRONT LOWER ARM INSPECTION

1. Inspect for bending and damage.

• If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.

2. Inspect the ball joint for excessive play.

• If there is excessive play, replace the applicable part.

3. Rotate the ball joint stud five times and shake.

4. Install the SST to the ball joint stud.

5. Measure the rotational torque using a pull scale.

• If there is any malfunction, replace the lower ball joint.

1.47-2.94 N·m {15.0-29.9 kgf·cm, 13.1-26.0 in·lbf}

Pull scale reading

14.7-29.4 N {1.50-2.99 kgf, 3.31-6.60 in·lbf}
