BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Removal

1. Remove the brake switch.

(1) Disconnect the connector.

(2) Remove the brake switch by turning it counterclockwise.

Installation

Note

• The brake switch is adjustable only for the first installation. If additional adjustment is necessary, install a new one.

1. Release the brake switch lock by turning it counterclockwise until the lock knob stops.

2. Start the engine, fully depress and hold the brake pedal.

3. Install the brake switch.

(1) Insert the brake switch into the bracket and turn it clockwise.

(2) Connect the connector.

4. Pull the brake pedal outward with a force of 50 N {5.1 kgf, 11 in·lbf}.
