AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [GF4AX-EL]

Caution
-
• After repairing a malfunction, perform this procedure to verify that the malfunction has been corrected.
-
• When this procedure is carried out, be sure to drive the vehicle at lawful speed and pay attention to the other vehicles.
1. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (engine off).
3. Select the clear code function and clear the DTC.
4. Perform the following trouble code inspections to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:

• For P0500
-
i. Start the engine.
-
ii. Warm up the engine coolant temperature 60 ×C {140 ×F} or more.
-
iii. Drive the vehicle under following conditions for 16 s or more.
-
- Turbine speed (TSS PID): 1,050 rpm or more
-
- Selector lever position: D range, 1GR
-
iv. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
-
v. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
-
vi. Repeat from step i to step iii again.
-
vii. Go to Step 5.
-
• For P0710
-
i. Start the engine.
-
ii. Drive the vehicle under following condition for 100 s or more.
-
- Vehicle speed (VSS PID): 20 km/h {12 mph}
-
iii. Go to Step 5.
-
• For P0715
-
i. Start the engine.
-
ii. Drive the vehicle under following condition for 0.8 s or more.
-
- Vehicle speed (VSS PID): 42 km/h {26 mph} or more
-
iii. Go to Step 5.
-
• For P0743
-
i. Start the engine.
-
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly from 1GR to 4GR and TCC is operated. (See ROAD TEST [GF4AX-EL].)

iii. Go to Step 5.

• For P0745
-
i. Start the engine.
-
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range.
-
iii. Go to Step 5.

• For P0750, P0755, P0760, P0768, P1783
-
i. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly 1GR to 4GR. (See ROAD TEST [GF4AX-EL].)
-
ii. Go to Step 5.
5. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
6. Make sure that the repaired DTC does not recur.
