MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [G15M-R, G25MX-R]

1. Lift up the vehicle.

2. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.

3. Install the drain plug.

Note

• Use a new gasket on the drain plug.

4. Lift down the vehicle.

5. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground and apply the parking brake.

6. If necessary, disconnect the vehicle speed sensor connector.

7. If necessary, remove the bolt and the vehicle speed sensor.

8. Place a funnel into the vehicle speed sensor hole.

9. Fill the transaxle oil through the vehicle speed sensor opening until the full level on the vehicle speed sensor is reached as shown in the figure.

Specified oil grade

API Service GL-4 or GL-5

Specified oil viscosity

All-season: SAE 75W-90

Above 10 °C {50 °F}: SAE 80W-90

Capacity (approx. quantity)

2WD: 2.7 L {2.9 US qt, 2.4 lmp qt}

4WD: 2.2 L {2.3 US qt, 1.9 lmp qt}

10. Install the vehicle speed sensor and the bolt.

11. Connect the vehicle speed sensor connector.
