TRANSFER OIL INSPECTION [GF4AX-EL]

1. Place the vehicle on level ground.

2. Remove the under cover.

Warning

• A hot exhaust pipe and transfer oil can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before inspecting the transfer oil.

3. Remove the PTO heat shield.

4. Remove the oil level plug and washer.

5. Verify that the oil is near the brim of the oil level plug hole.

• If the oil level is low, add the specified amount and type of oil through the oil level plug hole.

Oil viscosity

SAE 80W-90

6. Install the oil level plug with a new washer.

Tightening torque

39.2-58.8 N·m {4.0-5.9 kgf·m, 28.9-43.3 ft·lbf}

7. Install the PTO heat shield.

Tightening torque

7.8-10.8 N·m {80-110 kgf·cm, 69.5-95.4 in·lbf}

8. Install the under cover.
