-
Caution
-
• Before preceding to the next step, test the torque converter cleaner to make sure that there is a liberal flow of ATF. If there isn't, or contamination is found, replace the system filter with a new one.
-
Note
-
• Rubber hoses must be attached to the ends of the oil hoses to aid in connecting them to the cleaner.
1. Connect the cleaner pressure and return lines correctly.
-
(1) Connect the pressure line to the oil cooler inlet hose.
-
(2) Connect the return line to the oil cooler outlet hose.
-
(3) Place the outlet end of the return line in the solvent tank reservoir.
-
Note
-
• Cycling the solvent pump on and off helps dislodge contaminants in the cooler system.
2. Switch the solvent pumps on. Allow the solvent to circulate a minimum of 5 min.
3. Switch the solvent pump off.
4. Disconnect the cleaner pressure line at the oil hose.
5. Using compressed air, blow through the oil cooler inlet hose until all solvent is removed.
6. Remove the rubber hoses from the oil hose.
