TRANSAXLE SUPPORT INSULATOR (LH) INSTALLATION [LA4AX-EL (CD4E)]

1. Assemble the upper transaxle mount plate component using a new mount.

(1) Install the top and bottom mount cups.

2. Install the bottom mount plate, bolt and nut.

3. Install the upper transaxle mount plate component.

4. Install the spacer.

5. Install the wiring harness bracket and nut.

6. Remove the SSTs.

7. Connect the connectors to the valve cover.

8. Install the power steering pressure hose bracket.

Tightening torque
66.6-93.1 N·m {6.8-9.4 kgf·m, 49.2-68.6 ft·lbf}

9. Install the air cleaner component.

10. Install the air hose and air cleaner cover.

11. Connect the crankcase vent hose and MAF sensor connector.

12. Verify that there is no blockage or kinks, and the vent hose routing is correct.

13. Install the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [YF (2.0L Zetec)].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3, AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

14. Connect the negative battery cable.

• If the battery has been disconnected then reconnected, the vehicle may need to be driven 160 km {100 miles} or more for the PCM to relearn the control strategy.
