PRESSURE LINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [YF (2.0 L Zetec)]

Removal

All vehicles

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump.

Note

• Drain the excess power steering fluid into a suitable drain pan.

R.H.D. vehicles

1. Disconnect the power steering pressure and return lines.

(1) Remove the bolt.

(2) Disconnect the power steering pressure and return lines.

Note

• Do not drop the O-ring seals. Disconnect the power steering pressure and return lines.

All vehicles

1. Lower the vehicle.

L.H.D. vehicles

1. Disconnect the power steering pressure and return lines.

Note

• Do not drop the O-ring seals.

(1) Remove the bolt.

(2) Disconnect the power steering pressure and return lines.

2. Remove the power steering pressure line bracket bolt to the steering gear.

All vehicles

1. Remove the power steering pressure line bracket bolt to the engine lifting hook.

2. Remove the power steering pressure line bracket to engine bolt and the power steering pressure line.

Installation

All vehicles

1. Install the power steering pressure line bracket to engine bolt.

2. Install the power steering pressure line bracket bolt to the engine lifting hook.

L.H.D. vehicles

1. Install the power steering pressure line bracket bolt to the steering gear.

2. Connect the power steering pressure and return lines to the steering gear and install the bolt.

Note

• Make sure the O-ring seals are on the power steering pressure and return lines.

All vehicles

1. Connect the power steering pressure line to the power steering pump.

2. Lower the vehicle.

3. Fill, bleed and leak check the power steering system.
